Winter Warmth – Spiced Hot Chocolate

This is another version of a basic spiked (spiced) hot chocolate! Really simple, really delicious, and something you could make any variation on yourself at home with what you’ve got around!

What You’ll Need:

Glass: Mug

Ingredients:

  • Spiced Rum
  • Butterscotch Schnapps
  • Milk
  • Hot Chocolate Powder
  • Orange Bitters

Garnish: Whipped Cream, Chocolate Powder and Orange Zest

Making the Drink:

This is the easiest, quickest way:

  • Add 45ml of Spiced Rum to a pot over low-medium heat
  • Add 45ml Butterscotch Schnapps
  • Add 1 Cup of Milk
  • Add 2 Teaspoons of Hot Chocolate Powder
  • Stir
  • Dash Orange Bitters and swirl to coat glass
  • Pour mix into glass
  • Dash Orange Bitters on top
  • Garnish with Whipped Cream, Hot Chocolate Powder and Orange Zest
  • Serve and enjoy

Feeling Fancy?

This cocktail could be done with Dark Rum, or Whiskey, with a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg… This is a basic version that could be experimented with in flavours in almost any way!
