Winter Warmth – Tequila Mint Hot Chocolate

There’s a few recipes out there with Tequila and Mint… And when I saw that I had to try and make my own. This is probably my favourite of the whole series, so if you pick one to make, make it this one!

What You’ll Need:

Glass: Mug

Ingredients:

  • Milk
  • Hot Chocolate Powder
  • Tequila
  • Peppermint Schnapps
  • Milk Choc Chips
  • Dark Choc Chips
  • Sugar (optional)
  • Salt

Garnish: Whipped Cream, Mint Leaves and an Aero Bar

Making the Drink:

This is the easiest, quickest way:

  • Melt 100 grams of dark and 100 grams of milk choc chips
  • Add 3 cups of Milk to a pot over low-medium heat
  • Add 2 teaspoons of Hot Chocolate Powder
  • Add the melted chocolate
  • Add 100ml Tequila
  • Add 60m Crème de Menthe
  • Add 1 tablespoon of Sugar (optional)
  • Add 1 pinch of Salt
  • Stir
  • Pour into glass
  • Garnish with Whipped Cream, Mint Leaves and an Aero Bar
  • Serve and enjoy

Feeling Fancy?

Melting chocolate into a hot chocolate is already a pretty fancy drink… but if you wanted another level up, you could also melt 50 grams of white chocolate chips in there as well, and use a dash of peppermint essence!
